Who We Are

extraordinarily ordinary

Grace Bible Church is a church plant in Watertown, South Dakota.  With around 40 churches already established in the community, it's valid to question why Watertown would need another church.  Consider that there are approximately 22,000 people living within Watertown city limits, not counting those in the surrounding communities and rural areas.  Of these 22,000 people, we estimate that less than ten percent regularly attend an evangelical church.  This leaves a mission field of nearly 20,000 people in the city alone.  If we believe and act on the commission we've been given to make disciples, we don't see a saturation of churches, rather we see a need for more local churches.  The increase in the number of churches can mean many things, but we don't believe it should ever foster a competition mentality among the family of God.  We aim to stand side by side with our brothers and sisters in Watertown, wherever they've found they can faithfully serve.  We rejoice that Watertown has many churches endeavoring to be faithful to our Lord, and we desire the same.

We invite you to join us for our corporate worship service, Sundays at 10:30.  Come early for hot coffee and fellowship and stay late for warm coffee and fellowship.  Our worship reflects our foundational values, and might be characterized as simple or even ordinary.  We worship together through song, prayer, Scripture reading, the Lord's Supper, joyful giving, and preaching.

Our desire is to be conformed into the image of our extraordinary Savior, who purchased by his death and resurrection the Church universal, at a cost of greater depth than we can fathom.  As he is faithful, so we aim to be.
